Our design approach and our Architectural practice are founded on the concept of collaboration.

This inclusive approach to design and management values creativity and communication between all parties involved in a project. Through collaboration we develop the concepts and boundaries that inform the design and bring the project into the built environment. Our goal is to provide the highest quality architectural services to all of our clientele regardless of project design, size, or complexity.

Principals

Michael D. Cowan, AIA, RAS

Michael has worked both in Dallas and San Antonio before bringing his talents back home to Austin following his graduation from the University of Texas at Arlington. In addition to being a licensed architect, Michael is also a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and a proponent of accessible design solutions. He joined Mike Haddon in 2004 to bring a collaborative approach to the practice of architecture as well as a high standard for design and construction.

Mike Haddon, AIA, LEED AP

Mike received his architecture degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and worked extensively in Dallas before coming to Austin in 2004 to create Haddon Cowan Architects Collaborative with Michael Cowan. He is an informed proponent of sustainable design and has made this an integral part of our design approach which has translated into a series of successful "green" projects. Mike has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2003 and is vocal in his goal of bringing sustainability issues to the forefront of the design.
